Radiative Gasdynamics Laboratory

Laboratoty conducts fundamental and applied research in phisical mechanics of continious media on edges of classical, statistical and quantum mechanics. New theoretical and computer radiative-gas dynamics models of space-rocket techniques and hypersonic flight apparatus are being developed. Fundamental research in the field of non-linear phenomena of aerodynamical hysteresis and bifurcation are being coducted, theoretical and computer models of electro-discharge processes in supersonic and subsonic gas flows, dynamics of non-equilibrium continious media in external electrical and magnetic fields are being developed. Three-dimensional (spacial) models of spectrum radiative abilities of rocket-space objects are created.

The result of multiyears activity in the area of quantum mechanics is a creation of the electronic data-bases of spectral optical properties of heated gases of planet atmospheres which are used during problems solution of aerophysics of space apparatus in different organisations of Russian Federation, European Space Agency, USA.

Multiprocessor calculation cluster MVK IPMech-1 is created on the basis of 32 Intel Pentium-IV processors. The works on implentation of new parallel computer technologies MPI/MPICH in the practice of problems solution of non-equilibrium physical and chemical mechanics are conducted.
